As deals editor, I only tell you about deals on products that I value, and that have been tried and tested to be brilliant. And in recent times, no product has hit the mark quite as well as Apple's 2023 M2 Mac mini. That's why I'm excited to share that it's currently on sale over, dropping from $599 to $529 over at B&H Photo. 

In fact, it took me a while to figure out just how good the Mac mini is. I ignored the Intel powered minis, and somehow missed the M1 model. I'd go so far as to say it's unprecedented for Apple to offer such cutting edge tech for such a favourable price as in the M2 Mac mini. And if you're a student, you can go direct to Apple and get the mini for $499. That's really quite cool. 

For context, this is not the all-time best price we've seen on the Mac mini M2. B&H Photo held the absolute best price back in May, dropping it to $499 for a hot minute. However, if you missed that, this $70 discount is currently the best deal available. Overview: For the price, this is one of the best computers out there. You're getting the famed Apple M2 chip with 8-core CPU and 10-core GPU, 8GB RAM and 256GB SSD. This might not be for pro video editors – you'll want 16G RAM at least for that – but if you want a powerful PC that can handle pretty much anything else, this is a great option. 

Key features: The M2 chip is Apple's latest, bringing speed, power and reliability to its computers. It's got two Thunderbolt 4, HDMI and two USB-A ports. It can also support two displays at the same time (up to 6K and 5K), should you want that set up. 

Price history: The Mac mini is already sold at a fair retail price, so to get $70 off the M2 model is a rare deal. Since its release this year, we've actually seen it as low as $499, but right now, this is the best price around.
