Ahead of Amazon Prime Day there are already some pretty decent deals floating around – and some of those are on graphics cards. We've been deal-hunting for many years now so we are well-placed to assess the deals that are actually worth your time, and those that have been inflated to look better than they are. We haven't stuck to Amazon for this guide, often the best offers are from elsewhere during this sales event so we've checked out the whole web in our quest to bring you a bargain.

With graphics cards being some of the priciest kit you can buy, bagging a deal could be important when deciding which to go for. Stick with us and we'll help you to make the right choice (our best graphics card roundup will help here). If you're looking for deals outside of graphics cards, go scour our Apple Prime Day hub.

We've split this list into three categories: high-end, mid-range and budget graphics cards (use the quick links to the left to jump ahead). We've classed anything high-end  as above $650/£600, mid-range as around $450/£400 and budget as below $300/£250

High-end graphics cards deals

ZOTAC RTX 4080 Trinity OC: $1,299.99

ZOTAC RTX 4080 Trinity OC: $1,299.99 $1,149.99 at Amazon
Save $150:

This may not look like a hefty discount but it's an unusual one. The RTX 4080 doesn't often come down lower than the RRP, and it's a seriously powerful gaming card, so much so many games can't even take advantage of its capability. One review said: "Nvidia's DLSS paired with Frame Generation, and Reflex technologies offer a smooth gaming experience at higher resolution," and the same reviewer loved its performance and speed, whilst wishing it was cheaper. Well, they got their wish with this deal.

Mid-range graphics cards deals

Right now, we can't find any convincing mid-range graphics cards for pre-Prime Day deals, but we know they're coming, and we'll update this section just as soon as we find them. Watch this space...

All you need to know

Will there be graphics cards deals in the Amazon Prime Day sale?

There are usually at least a handful of very decent Prime Day graphics cards deals. Last year's July event saw a spread of noteworthy deals – especially on Nvidia cards – and the subsequent Early Access event followed suit (though they were not as plentiful).

It's worth noting that these deals aren't usually on the newest models, but you can still pick up a very decent card with a considerable discount – so even if you can't get the newest model, you should still be pleased.

Is Prime free during the Prime Day sale?

Access to the benefits of Amazon Prime, including members-only discounts, requires a Prime subscription, but you can access deals in the Prime Early Access Sale for free if you're not already a Prime member. You can do that be signing up for a 30-day free Amazon Prime trial. The sale is less than a month away, you can sign up now to use your trial Prime membership to access any deals, and you can always cancel afterwards if you don't want the other benefits.

What Amazon Prime Day graphics card deals should I look for?

During Prime Day last year, most of the Prime Day graphics cards deals that we saw were on Nvidia products, especially on Gigabyte, Asus ROG and EVGA versions of Nvidia's graphics cards. Those would be the products we most expect to see reduced in any Prime Day graphics cards deals, though there's always a chance we may see some AMD graphics cards reduced too. We'll link to the best current deals below, and we'll be updating these regularly as the sale approaches.
