With the new Apple Watch Series 8 and Apple Watch Ultra released in September, the Apple Prime Day sales look set to be filled with Apple Watch deals. We're most likely set to see savings on the 2021 Apple Watch Series 7, and Apple Watch SE, but we're already seeing some good savings on the latest Series 8 model which is promising.

What is the Amazon Prime Day sale?
Amazon launches Prime Day sales each year with thousands of discounts and savings to be had on the latest tech. Its timing is usually not long before Black Friday in November, another event that offers catastrophic savings and deals across multiple retailers. Some deals will be exclusively for Amazon Prime members, whereas others can be accessed by regular Amazon customers who aren't subscribed to Prime.
When is the Amazon Prime Day 2023?
We can expect to see the Amazon Prime Day Apple deals appear from as early as Tuesday 11 July at midnight in the UK and at midnight Pacific Time in the US. The event is expected to run for a limited 48 hours only, but we recommend keeping an eye on the deals hub in the run-up to the event and even afterwards too for any leftover deals that Amazon hasn't taken down.
But be wary that sometimes Amazon sellers (including Apple) can be a little bit sneaky and will sometimes jack up the original price of an item by a few hundred dollars, to make the newly discounted deal seem like an absolute bargain. This becomes clear, especially after Prime Day when prices revert back to what they once were.
Are Apple products included in Amazon Prime Day sale?
Yep! More often than not you will find lots of discounted Apple products in the Prime Day savings, including the early deals that we've found above, and we can expect even more discounts on a wide range of tech items once the event officially kicks off.
Although, don't expect massive Apple Prime Day deals across the tech giant's whole range. After all, Apple products tend to hold their value and don't often get big discounts. But, based on previous years, we do expect to see some decent savings worth grabbing.
During Prime Day in July, we saw savings of up to $200 / £200 off the price of some iPads and MacBooks. We also saw a record-low price on the Apple Watch Series 7 and some great prices on the AirPods Pro too. By and large, you'll need to turn to slightly older Apple products for the biggest potential savings, and there may be many savings that are not officially part of the Prime Day sale, making them available for everyone.
Do I need to be a Prime member to get Prime Early Access Apple deals?
In simple terms, yes; at least to get the official deals during Prime Day, you'll need to be a member of Amazon's subscription service, Amazon Prime. Luckily you can sign up for a no-strings-attached 30-day free trial just before the event, but remember to cancel it afterwards if you don't want the subscription to auto-renew.
The free trial means you can take advantage of any Amazon Prime Day Early Access deals before you start to be charged for a subscription. And you can cancel your subscription with no penalty as soon as Prime Day is over if you really don't think you'll continue to use the benefits of the service. But also, as well as any Prime Day Apple deals, we expect we'll also see Apple deals that are open to everyone (see the best current deals above).
What Amazon Prime Early Access Apple deals should I look out for?
In July, we saw Prime Day Apple deals on a wide range of products, from iPads to AirPods and MacBooks. In most cases, they weren't actually official Prime Day Apple deals, but were Amazon Apple deals that were open to everyone, not just Prime members. The one Apple product that did see members-only Prime Day deals was Apple Watch – specifically Apple Watch Series 7 and Apple Watch SE, the first of which saw discounts of over $100 / £100.
We'd expect to see something similar during the Amazon Prime Day 2023 sale, especially now that Apple has released the Apple Watch Series 8 and the Apple Watch Ultra. The release of new models makes us think that we'll see even bigger savings on the Series 7, or perhaps even some deals on the Series 8 and the Apple Watch Ultra. Based on previous savings, we'd say that AirPods are also a good bet for Apple Prime Day deals.
